We started in 2001…

After reading “Harvesting urban Timber” by Sam Sherrill we were inspired to try it, starting with a hackberry that blew over. It was an epiphany, and many unwanted logs were immediately gabbed from the greater metro. By 2005, it was an official business.

Since that time over 400,000 board feet of waste stream logs have been turned into viable hardwood lumber. We have a small but dedicated team, and we are into taking a natural resource and up cycling it into beautiful lumber for a wide variety of project needs. We are sawing, drying and making stuff with urban lumber every day at our headquarters in Kansas City.
